Technology's hold on man

If you have been following my blog you already know my favorite feature is the fax to email and you also know that our system works with Smartphones such as the Blackberry, the iPhone, and the Palm Pre. But did you know that our system has a bunch of fancy features that work will all phones and other features that work will all cell phones?

I know you have been out somewhere and seen the gaggle of teenage girls texting on their cell phones. That sight is proof that cell phones are for more than just having a verbal conversation with someone. You too can feel like part of the “in crowd” by getting text messages to your cell phone when you get a new voicemail. You never need to be out of communication with your hosted pbx.

Another feature that we offer, and it works with any phone, copper land line or cell, is the voice call back also known as voice notification. The way this works is when someone calls and leaves you a message, the system will call you on the specified number and give you a chance to listen to your message. Now whether you have a fancy smart phone that you can check your email on or not, you can still be notified of your new messages and you don’t need to always be within range of a computer.

Tall, Dark, and Handsome

I am the typical 20something, single woman looking for the proverbial 'perfect' man. I mean, I don't ask for much. He's gotta be taller than my 5'10", ruggedly handsome, insanely funny, the guitar and vocal skills of Keith Urban, a love for small animals and children.....and the list goes on. And no matter how much eHarmony promises me to 'find that special someone', I will never be able to customize my ideal. He will still come with all of his inherent flaws.

Add the personal touch to your voicemail...

Today I programmed a busy no answer voicemail box for a law office. The way this voicemail box works is when the phone rings the specified number of times, say 4, then it rolls over to the voicemail number. This sounds great and all but what happens if you are already on the line and then someone calls? Luckily the forward will work on a busy too that way all of your calls that you can’t answer go to voicemail.

Of course every small business owner will want his or her business to prosper and grow. So what is the most essential thing for the business to have? That's easy, customers. But what happens when your potential customer calls and you can't answer the phone? You lose the potential customer. Another Day and Twice the Bang for the Buck

Every day brings about something new and something different. Yesterday was no different. On an average day I program several standard voicemail and find me/ follow me packages. However I programmed a Fax on Demand package yesterday.

Fax on Demand is great for any company who wants to immediately send a document to a caller. The customers who most frequently use the Fax on Demand feature are apartment complexes because the caller can immediately be sent the floor plans for the available units as well as a lease application. The beneficial aspect to the customer is the ease of sending a fax. There is no more was a five or a nine? Or what did the caller say he wanted? And best of all no more jamming on the fax machine while trying to send the fax. Our system takes all of those added frustrations out of the mix and allows the caller to follow through with the faxing process.

Every now and again we come across other customers who are interesting in utilizing our fax on demand feature. Yesterday's customer was one of the other, non apartment complex customers. Mark signed up for our Direct Receptionist program which includes up to five extensions. He decided to use two of the extensions as voicemail boxes and two of the extensions as Fax on Demand boxes which he is using as an additional form of marketing. Essentially he is getting twice the bang for his buck. He is paying for a phone system and getting a marketing bonus for free. Now that makes financial sense in these tough economic times.
