Challenge: A customer called and told me that he was living abroad and he needed to apply for jobs in the United States. He said that it was very important that he look like he had a local number established for each of the places he was applying, and without a home or a residence in the United States it was difficult to do. He had a US cell phone number with a California area code, but he was applying for jobs in Austin, Dallas, and San Diego. Also, the positions he applied for were seasonal and he needed to be able to get numbers in different cities often during the year. The client needed an overseas virtual PBX solution from AccessDirect.
Solution: I told the customer that we had no problem providing him with numbers in most American and/or Canadian cities and that we even had numbers available for the most remote towns in North America. He provided me with a list of cities, some specific to the Greater Los Angeles Area, and I was able to provide him a list for each city he requested.
