Challenge: A large chain of pizza shops had no computer systems installed and the area manager wanted a way to get messages to all of his store managers. He wanted to be able to alert them somehow to let them all know they had a message, however most of the time the messages were the same for all 20 of his managers. He only wanted to have to leave the message once in most cases, but still wanted to be able to leave messages for individuals if he had to. He needed the AccessDirect Group Messaging Solution!
Solution: AccessDirect set the pizza shops up with the Direct Receptionist 4 plan which gave the area manager up to 25 extensions and 4000 minutes of usage. We immediately set him up with ‘Group Messaging’ which allowed the area manager to leave one message and send it to a group of people. We also gave each of the managers in the area their own extension, so individual messages could be left for them as well. Whenever the managers got messages, they were alerted by AccessDirect via a text message, and then they called in to check their messages. If they had email on their cell phones, the message was sent via email and the managers could listen to the messages by opening the *.wav file attached to the email.
Results: The area manager is very happy with this solution. Instead of having to make 20 phone calls a day, he simply leaves one message in a mailbox which is delivered to everyone in his ‘group.’ The area manager has saved a lot of time with the new process. The managers like to have the text message and email alerts on their phones so they can be notified right away. This has made this famous pizza shop even more successful, and has clearly given the edge over their competition.
