Challenge: A customer who owned a trucking company called to see if he could do anything to help his current situation. He had several numbers he was paying the phone company for in different states, which he was simply hard forwarding to a main fax line in Tennessee. Essentially, he had the numbers in different states because he had offices in different states. He worked in different offices and he had remote call forwarding so he forwarded the fax lines to whichever office he was in. Sometimes he’d have all of the fax numbers forwarded to his office in Tennessee, and sometimes he’d have them all forwarded to his office in Alabama. He was paying the phone company a large amount of money to keep these lines going, and he was also paying for the features on those lines. He wanted a way he could keep all of the phone numbers at a less expensive price and not have to worry about having to forward them from all over the country. He needed a virtual fax solution from AccessDirect.
Solution: AccessDirect suggested porting the lines to our virtual fax service so that the customer no longer had to pay for the phone lines anymore. We ported all of his fax lines to our service and when someone faxes something to him, they go into a .pdf file in his email. That way the customer no longer has to pay the phone company for the lines but he can still keep the established numbers his customers are used to faxing. Also, he simply gets the faxes in his email and he can choose whether or not to print them out. He saves money on phone lines and on toner and paper.
Results: The customer was quite literally amazed that we could do this for him. He couldn’t believe that things could be so easy with a virtual fax service from Access Direct. He no longer has to pay the phone company for the lines and he also is able to get all of his faxes via email. He can even receive faxes on his phone so he can be notified wherever he is. The customer is ecstatic that we are able to handle his information so easily and efficiently, and he really wishes he had done this long ago.
