Challenge: A local tax business hired forty people to help with seasonal taxes, and the employees were expecting to start January 1st of 2011. The owner of the business wanted each employee to have a voice mailbox and extension number so that customers could call their tax preparation specialist directly. Some of the workers wanted to work from home, so the company also wanted a way to be able to ring their employees’ home phones or cell phones, which would be helpful because they had little space for so many workers that they only need for four months of the year. They needed a business voicemail system set up specifically for their needs.
Solution: I recommended our Direct Enterprise Package. The business forwarded their main line to an AccessDirect number, and the ‘Enterprise’ package gave the tax business 15000 minutes and unlimited extensions to use. Each employee had his/her own personal extension, and call transfer numbers and email addresses could be easily changed as each person had access to the AccessDirect online web interface. The owner was also given web access, so that if he had to replace the workers, he could go online and change the names of the extensions. Each employee was set up to work from home or the office, and the business has no contract with AccessDirect so they were able to downsize their package when tax season was over.
Results: The owner was extremely pleased with how efficient the AccessDirect Auto-Attendant was. Each employee had their own Voice Mailbox so they can each record their personal greetings and they can deal with their own customers. The owner called me and told me they plan to use AccessDirect again for this upcoming tax season.
