Matt Bowyer has been a cornerstone of the AccessDirect team for over a decade, joining the company in February 2004 as a customer service representative and steadily growing into his current role as Billing Supervisor. Today, his responsibilities span well beyond what any single title could capture. He oversees billing, handles top-level technical support, and regularly pinch-hits across every division of the company.
What drives Matt most is the challenge of solving unusual problems. Whether it's fielding a one-of-a-kind request from a sales rep or building and testing custom programs to meet a client's unique needs, he thrives on the kind of creative, technical problem-solving that keeps him thinking on his feet.
Outside of work, Matt is an avid gamer with an impressive setup: two gaming PCs and nearly every console on the market. He's also a passionate writer currently working on the second draft of his first novel, with more ideas waiting in the wings. And every Sunday, you'll find him on the couch cheering on the Washington Redskins with the kind of loyal optimism only a true fan can muster.
If he ever stepped away from it all, Matt's dream would be to open a cozy used bookstore on a quiet small-town corner, a place with good coffee, good music, and employees who love talking about everything from literary fiction to pulp paperbacks. It might not make a fortune, but as Matt puts it, "man, it'd be great."
