Steven Knapp is the Co-Founder and Business Development Manager of Talkstream Labs, the parent organization behind AccessDirect and the Better Voice mobile PBX platform. Based in Austin, Texas, Steven co-founded Better Voice to address a gap in mobile voicemail customization for professionals, launching the platform in 2014 as a next-generation voice and SMS solution. Under his leadership, the Better Voice group expanded to include AccessDirect, a virtual phone system provider that has been serving small businesses nationwide since 1997.
Steven holds a Master of Arts in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Louisiana Tech University, a background that informs his focus on building communication tools that work the way people actually do. Beyond his work in telecommunications, he is the co-owner of Vessel Coworking in Austin and serves on the Board of Directors of the Central Austin Community Development Corporation.
